JEE Main 2018 Application Form- Dates, Apply Online

JEE Main 2018 Application Form will be available in the 1stweek of December 2017.JEE Main is the most popular and concluded as the top level examinations of India. JEE is a 2 stage examination conducted by CBSE Board. Candidates who are seeking admission in UG eng./architecture courses in IITs , NITs, and other institutions through JEE Main examination can apply for this examination. As IITs provide admissions only to the eligible candidates through JEE Advanced examination. Only qualified candidates of JEE Main will be eligible to take up JEE Advanced examination. JEE Main 2018 Application Form will be released only through online mode on the official site. The official notification regarding JEE Main 2018 will be released in November 2017 as tentatively and Application process will get started from 1st week of December 2017.

  The application form will get released in the first week of December 2017.
• Applicants should fill the application form carefully as per the instructions are given in the information brochure.
• As per the anticipation, the authority shall also provide the correction facility for the application form.
• Applicants have to upload the scanned images of passport size photograph and signature in the specified format which should be in JPG or JPEG format.
• After remitting the fee payment confirmation, students must take a print copy of the confirmation page for further use.
• Candidates need not have to send the printed confirmation page to the CBSE board.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students born on or after 1st October 1993 will be eligible to apply (5yrs of relaxation is given to the reserved categories.
• Applicants should have passed the Intermediate or equivalent exam in 2016 and 2017 with five subjects as the mandatory subjects from any recognized board.
• Students appearing in the Intermediate (12th standard) examination in 2018were also eligible.
• Students must have the Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects as the main subjects in the qualifying exam.
• There is no as such criteria of scoring minimum marks are needed to appear in the JEE Main exam.
• For admission in NITs, IITs, CFTIs, students must be secured 75 % marks (65% for SC/ST) or be in the top 20 percentile.
• Applicants can appear only three times for JEE Main.
• It is necessary for the candidates to have Aadhaar Card in order to apply for JEE Main.

Application Fee

• The application forms will be available from 1stweek of December 2017.
• The application fee will be different for online and as well as for the offline mode.
• JEE Main Application fee has to be remitted either through online mode or through offline mode.
• For online mode, mode of payment would be DR/CR card/Net banking, and for offline mode, the fee can be deposited through E-challan which has to be generated of Syndicate/HDFC/Canara/ICICI Bank.
• No, payment through DD will not be accepted.

Steps to fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form

• Visit the official portal of JEE Main.
• Search for the link “Apply for JEE Main 2018” and click on it.
• Read the instructions carefully and click on the “Proceed to Apply Online”.
• The verification form will display on the screen, fill the details in that form and submit it.
• JEE Main 2018 Application Form will appear on the screen.
• Fill the required details like personal, academic, address, exam related, guardians, etc.
• Review the application form and verify your details prior submitting it.
• Click and select the “Upload Scanned Images” option.
• Select the scanned images by clicking on the “Browse” button.
• Now click on “Final Upload” button to upload the scanned images of a photograph and signature.
• Visit the “Pay Examination Fee” option.
• Remit the application fee through online or offline mode as per your preference.
• After the fee payment confirmation, log in again with your Login Credentials.
• Take a print out of the JEE Application Form 2018 and preserve it for further use.

Important points

• No, payment through DD will not be accepted.
• If candidate belongs to Assam state and did not have Aadhaar card, they can apply through passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number.
• There is no need to upload the thumb impression.
