VIT University Admission 2018

VITEEE-2018 is a Common Entrance Exam and Eligible candidates can select the courses offered at VIT Vellore Campus, Chennai Campus, VIT-Bhopal and VIT-AP on the day of Counselling as per the order of merit and availability.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University was established in 1984 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The University offers admission to UG, PG & Research programs for both of its Chennai & Vellore campuses.

The university offers B.Tech in seventeen specializations, B.Des Industrial Design, B.Arch, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc., BBA, BA, BCHM, M.Tech in twenty three specializations, MCA, M.Sc, MBA and M.Des. in UG and PG program. VIT University also offers Ph.D., M.Tech in Research and M.Phil in research programs.

• Students have to qualify VITEEE 2018 exam conducted by the university to get admission in B.Tech program.

• Registration for VITEEE 2018 has started and candidate can apply by visiting the official website of university till the 15/03/2018.

• For B.Tech, candidate need to pass 10+2 in Science Stream with minimum 50% marks.
• Admission to B.Arch is done on the basis of NATAentrance examination and there is no other entrance examination accepted for admission.
• For B.Arch, candidate must pass 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject and minimum 60% marks for eligibility.
• For M.Tech, candidate with B.E./ B.Tech in relevant discipline is eligible for admission.
• Admission to M.Tech and MCA is done on the basis of common entrance test conducted by VIT (VITMEE 2018).
• For M.Tech by Research, candidate must have passed B.Tech/B.E. or M.Sc. or MCA with minimum 60% marks.
• Admission to M.Tech by Research is done on the basis of merit of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree followed by written test and interview conducted by university.
• For MCA, candidate must have passed B.Sc. (IT/CS) or BCA with 60% marks in aggregate.
• For other UG courses like BA, B.Des, B.Sc., B.Com and BCA, admission is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
• Students looking for admission in M.Phil & Ph.D course need to appear for VITREE 2018 followed by interview.
• For Ph.D, Candidate with Master’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks is eligible for admission.
• Those students who have already qualified in CSIR NET or UGC NET or any other national level entrance test, will get direct call for interview from the respective department of the university.
• For MBA, candidate with bachelor’s degree and minimum 60% marks is eligible.
• Admission to MBA is done on the basis of CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT scores.
• For M.Sc, candidate with B.Sc. in relevant discipline is eligible for admission.
• For M.Des, candidate with B.Des in relevant discipline is eligible for admission.
• Admission to M.Sc and M.Des is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination
