trinity school of medicine (MBBS in Caribbean)

Trinity School of Medicine opens doors for qualified medical students from the United States and Canada.
INDIAN STUDENTS CALL +91-7004201345
Our rigorous Caribbean medical school is fully accredited through the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP). That accreditation is certified by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA) standards, recognizing it as comparable to US accreditation standards in the eyes of the Department of Education. In addition, we offer a 5-Year program for international students from other countries that combine our Pre-Medical and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree programs.
Our curriculum provides students with robust, hands-on, comprehensive study and training. The Trinity Student Advantage maintains a low student to teacher ratio, while building rapport within the classroom and community. In addition, our students benefit from immediate and regular clinical experience and thorough USMLE Step-1 prep.
Trinity School of Medicine is an offshore medical school that prepares students in obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary for residency programs and careers in primary care within the U.S. and Canada. As one of the leading Caribbean medical schools in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinity awards Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees along with residency training for both the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) and the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS).
Trinity Alumni Spotlight
Trinity School of Medicine has always prided itself on the strength and ambition of its students. So many of our future physicians come our way looking for something new; whether that's a unique learning environment built on support and a strong relationship with the faculty, a curriculum with an emphasis on clinical skills and service to patients, or just a fresh start.
In this next edition of our alumni spotlight, meet Clinton Ezekiel, MD United States Air Force.
Dr. Ezekiel's path to medicine was one we know well: he came from a family of physicians and, after graduating, felt the need to follow the path himself. "I was working in clinical research for a private firm. It was good work, we were researching new diabetes medication, but it just wasn’t fulfilling. I always felt like I could accomplish something more."
Your Mission, Our Purpose
Trinity School of Medicine students are inspired by science and committed to service. A common characteristic among Trinity students is the altruistic desire to bring healthcare to communities in need.  Trinity SOM is happy to harness and nurture that trait to drive quality learning and provide greater global access to care. Our students researched the other Caribbean medical schools and ultimately chose Trinity for its collaborative environment, personal approach to education and the success of our graduates in earning competitive residency placements.
Studying abroad in St. Vincent for the first half of the MD program affords our students the opportunity to do, see, and learn in settings they wouldn't have access to elsewhere. Coupled with two years of clinical training in U.S. hospitals, our students graduate as compassionate physicians with the knowledge and skills to compete for their Residency of choice.
Our Vision is Straight Forward
To educate physicians to meet the primary care and healthcare needs of the communities they serve. Our graduates are in a position to improve access to quality healthcare and enhance the health status of current and future healthcare systems.

Our Accreditation

Trinity's personal approach comes with the confidence of credentials.
Trinity is accredited by St. Vincent and the Grenadines's formally adopted authority, CAAM-HP to train medical students that can then obtain licenses to practice in the US, Canada, and many, many other nations.

That accreditation authority is fully recognized as a viable, comparable standard to the LCME by the US Dept. of Education's NCFMEA, as well as the World Federation of Medical Education (WMFE). Trinity has been listed in the FAIMER/IMED since 2008 and is already fully compliant with the ECFMG 2023 rule.

Trinity students who graduate and successfully complete Step 1 and 2, participate in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) as well as the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS), just like their US and Canadian-educated counterparts.

Our Students and Alumni

Trinity’s students and alumni speak to the success of the school’s MD program. The diverse student body is made up of matriculants from all over North America, covering a wide spectrum of life and experiences, with students direct from undergrad, as well as non-traditional students seeking a change in career. What binds them all together is their passion for medicine and a dedication to helping others.
Trinity’s alumni match into residencies across the US and Canada, notable residence match destinations include Case Western, Henry Ford, Mt. Sinai, University of Maryland, and Virginia Commonwealth with a wide array of specialties, from emergency and family medicine to obstetrics, pathology, and surgery.

Is Trinity Right for You?

Trinity is built on a unique philosophy of support. It rises to the rigorous standards of US and Canada medical education. This results in a proven track record of success. As a result, Trinity is a school that stands as a testament to the potential of its students and the future in medicine they have when finally given the right opportunity.
If you’d rather compete as a resident than in the classroom, if you want clinical experience focused on the patient from day one, if you’ve always felt that all you needed was the right opportunity to succeed, look no further.

Canadian Student Exchange Rate Hardship Grant (Variable)

As of January 2017, Trinity School of Medicine offers a hardship grant for Canadian students to compensate for the current value of the Canadian dollar. This “exchange rate grant” value will be assessed prior to the start of each new term.  When the Canadian dollar is valued at 90% or less than the US dollar, the percentile difference will be applied as a grant to all Canadian students' tuition.

Please keep in mind

1.
This hardship grant can be applied in addition to other grants and scholarships made available by Trinity and will be calculated based on the tuition remaining once awards have been applied. If you are awarded a $1,000 grant towards each terms tuition, the example's 14% adjustment would be applied to $11,250 tuition owed.
2.
This grant is, as mentioned, variable. It will be reassessed prior to the start of each term.
3.
This is available to all Canadian students! Whether you are new student this January or already progressing towards graduation you are eligible for this tuition adjustment.
4.
This program will be assessed on a term by term basis. If/when the value of the Canadian dollar increases to within 10% of the US dollar (or exceeds it), the program will be suspended.
5.
While all Canadian citizens and permanent residents who receive an offer of admission for the MD program at Trinity School of Medicine will be eligible to apply for the program.
